Carefully selected from ancient arboreal tea trees aged 600–700 years in Lincang, Yunnan, this tea is made from tender spring pluckings of the large-leaf varietal. Processed through traditional withering and low-temperature drying, then pressed into cakes, this minimalist yet precise craft aims to preserve the original character and vitality of the ancient tree leaves—capturing the essence of nature in each piece.
The dry tea emits a delicate and elegant aroma of almond. Upon brewing, it surprises with a luminous amber liquor and a rich, full-bodied texture. Its initial taste carries a warm, red tea-like sweetness—so distinctive that newcomers often mistake its category. With deeper sips, honeyed and floral notes gradually unfold, a layered complexity born of the trees' profound age. Those sensitive to tea energy may perceive a gentle yet penetrating "chee." A few cups bring comfort, slight perspiration, and a soothing warmth throughout the body.
Made from pure ancient tree leaves, the brew is substantial and satisfying, leaving a remarkable sense of fulfillment after drinking. It stands up to many infusions—easily yielding 15 rounds or more—and can be simmered afterward to release even more sweetness and depth. Whether cooling down in summer or warming up in winter, it remains a noble companion through all seasons.
