【Wabi-Kiln · Little Fullness — Wu Shangxin Solo Wood-Fired Ceramics Exhibition】

As the solar term "Little Fullness" (Xiaoman) arrives, all things in nature are just beginning to ripen, yet not quite full — much like the dialogue between fire and clay inside a wood kiln. Between building momentum and achieving perfect balance, a unique wabi-sabi beauty is distilled.

Ceramic artist Wu Shangxin has long dedicated himself to hand-built pottery, known for his use of Shino glazes combined with wood-firing techniques. Quiet and understated, he draws inspiration from nature and culture away from the noise of the world. Through the shaping of his fingers, he embeds emotion and rhythm into every vessel. The fire marks and ash deposits on his wood-fired pieces resemble natural landscapes — each one harmonious and complete, reflecting his quiet observation and deep understanding of the world.

The name "Wabi-Kiln" was thus born — within the intertwining of fire and clay, we witness the serene burning of the Little Fullness season.

【Ceramic Artist · Luan Bo Solo Exhibition】

Simmering by the Winter Hearth

Winter's warmth is the hearth fire, the tea liquor, and the companionship of a solid, grounded vessel. As water boils in the kettle and steam gently rises, a warm invitation unfolds.

Vessels are born for tea. In ceramic artist Luan Bo's wood-fired works, fallen ash becomes ink and flame marks create paintings, rendering on clay the misty essence of distant mountains, the soft blur of reeds, and the gentle warmth of pomegranates—verses of nature. Each piece is a unique dialogue between fire and earth, quietly holding warmth within.

This winter, we invite you to our space to view the exhibition, savor tea, and slowly simmer time with the warmth of a handcrafted object.
