2019 Yiwu Single-Origin Ancient Tree Raw Puerh Tea Cake

Yiwu (Mansa) is one of the ancient Six Famous Tea Mountains of Yunnan. Located in the eastern part of this historic region, it borders the Zhongliao area near the national frontier and spans approximately 750 square kilometers—making it the largest among the Six Tea Mountains.

The elevation of the Yiwu Zhengshan area ranges from 656 to 2,023 meters. This wide altitude range creates a diverse, three-dimensional climate with both warm-humid and temperate characteristics. The varying microclimates across the mountain produce distinct ecological environments. With high mountains shrouded in mist, fertile soils, abundant rainfall, and ample warmth, tea trees thrive under these naturally rich conditions.

This spring tea cake offers a multi-layered floral aroma accompanied by a subtle honey fragrance. When gently awakened in a warm cover bowl, the fragrance evolves to reveal a faint hint of smokiness. Brewed with boiling water, the tea is ready in just over ten seconds. The liquor is rich, sweet, and mellow, with minimal bitterness and astringency. It delivers a fast, lasting hui gan (returning sweetness) and salivation, while the elegant aroma lingers long in the mouth and nasal cavity.
